About the Origin of Life
There are a group of being told by legend that have existed deep in the primeval oceans of Karador. The most esoteric of mortal lore and the faith of the Valhe refer to them as the Abologoth. These Abologoth ruled the see before the dawning of the world as we know it. Within their minds was the secret of the old creation and the ways of the time of the Diablum. The Valhe faith tells us that all life on earth spawns from the mighty Abologoth, but even the Valhe know this to be figurative.
In the beginning, the lands of this world were an after though. The seas were where it all began. During the time after the true creation Aballagoth dwelt within the oceans, and the seas were her womb. There she gave birth to the those we now know as the Abologoth who attended and served her. Between she and her servants they made the seas filled with life who did the bidding of their progenitor. Aballagoth grew in both power and knowledge. In time this piece of the great creation fell more under her control than her care. It is said that Aballagoth set about breaking the great laws set forth to her by maker. Soon Lokum came to Karador with his ilk. The set down upon the lands and built there. Lokum set out with minions to destroy Aballagoth and wrest this portion of creation back on it's intended course. With this, the Wars of the Diablum came to Karador.
During the great war both Lokum and Aballagoth were prosperous, filling the lands and seas with their created. After many ages the Wars grew old and cold. The most potent of these two forces had been slain or defeated. By Aballagoth's will, the Abologoth created the Valhe who would rule underneath and within the earth. There, with the war coming to an end, the Valhe continued the work of creating new warriors to fight the war of their mother. The Valhe captured and experimented on the descendants of Lokum. Ultimately it seemed that those in the seas had fallen, but those in the earth went unnoticed. Some of the Abologoth were sheltered to safety in the womb of the earth by the Valhe. There they continued to spawn and create all manner of beasts that would forever plague the descendants of Lokum. As time went on, the Valhe were so prolific in their work, nearly all blood in the veins of mortal creatures was mixed between the created of Lokum and the created of Aballagoth. The Valhe had become the masters of a great many slave races. The mortals that lived upon the land were now left in the wake of the war to build, live and fend for themselves upon the world that had been left for them.
