Languages
Unlike the normal rules, Languages will be skills that must be purchased
at ranks 1 - 4. Characters are not assumed to have any languages they have
not purchased as skills All characters gain 4 extra skill points for languages
as well 1 additional point for each point of intelligence over 10. 1 rank
represents partial proficiency, 2 ranks indicate conversational ability.
3 ranks indicate native language fluency. 4 ranks represent academic and
technical expertise.
Modern Major Languages
- Literacy- Can read and write any language character knows up
his rank of Literacy
- Anglish- A common language to the kingdoms of Morcron and Allatroch.
- Eptuian- Language of the southern desert empire of the pharaohs.
- Anglorum- Language of most of the northern barbarian vandal
kingdoms.
- Nihong- Language of the far eastern Emerald Empire; Toroko
- Andalus- Language of the eastern lands of the Djinn and Sultans
- Erudite- An ancient language now used heavily in religion and
the sciences.
- Ethelendrael- The language of the elves.
- Wvundcleft- Language of the dwarves and gnomes.
- Brougic- Language of the halflings.
Dead Languages of the Ancient World
- Regveda- The earliest human language or the Akadian empires.
- Sumadrin- Dead language of the Suma culture that once dominated
the east.
- Greation- Language from the Greak culture that birthed western
civilization.
- Sematic- Language from a warlike, theocratic, Es'Ra-el culture.
- Dedamic- Language of the fallen Domaskin culture.
Major Inhuman Languages
- Sylvan- Spoken commonly by fairy and other seelie fey creatures.
- Gobbeley- Spoken commonly by goblins and others of the unseelie.
- Ogrund- Spoken commonly by orks, ogres, trolls, ettins and the
like
- Lektaka- Spoken commonly troglodytes, lizardmen, koa-toa and
sahagen
- Beastiel- Spoken commonly by kobolds, gnolls, bugbears and minotaurs.
- Tyrnatic- Language native to Beholders, it is now common in
the underdark.
- Dren'shrai- Language native to dark elves, it is now common
in the underdark.
- Jotun- A language commonly spoken by giants.
- Vogoth- An underdark languages spoken by many which is native
to illithid servants.
- Draconic- The ancient language of dragons Limited to 3 ranks
- Divinital- Used by angles and other divine beings. Limited to
2 ranks
- Infernal- Used by demons and devils in the lower planed. Limited
to 2 ranks

- Huratian- Language of the tribal Valks and the Hur in the Kalterschirt
region
- Vandu- Language of the tribal Vend in the Kalterschirt region
