Currency

There are three standard types of currency in the kingdom of Morcron. Each of these are made from different metals. The most common is the copper coin called a Harving. The next coin is a silver coin worth ten times a Harving; it is called a Florance (commoners call they "royals"). The rarest of coins is made of gold and worth the value of three Floance; it is called a Ducket (commoners call them "crowns"). Almost all trade values are discussed in terms of Florance ( "silver royals") as the base unit.

These coins themselves are actually only 50% the metal they are known as. The other 50% is nickel which gives strength and hardness. The legal weight of a coin is .8 ounces. This means that 20 coins of any type together weigh a pound (though sizes are slightly different).
